Law as a profession not only offers lucrative career avenues but also brings with it an unparalleled promise of power and prestige, which adds to the attractiveness of the profession. The legal sphere is the place for a person to be excellent in communication skills, power of argument, concrete critical thinking and excellent analytical abilities. The law is becoming the center of our activity and attention in today’s society. As a result, the study of the law has gained significant popularity and momentum. Recently, universities around the globe, including in Nepal, have begun offering a five-year integrated law course known as B.A.LL.B. programs. Students will, upon completion of the course, be awarded the B.A.LL.B. degree. The attractiveness of the B.A.LL.B. course and degree has considerably increased both inside and outside of Nepal. The curriculum covers several theoretical dimensions and also includes rigorous practical aspects like the moot court, research paper submissions, and mock trials. The B.A.LL.B. course meets national and international standards and provide the country with the next generation of lawyers, judges, intellectuals and public officials of the highest competence and integrity.

The followings are the main requirements to study BALLB at Pokhara University.

  • Any person (Nepali citizen or Foreigner) can apply for admission to the program. 
  • A student who has passed School Level Certificate Education (SLCE) / (10+2) level or any other equivalent degree in any subject with a minimum grade ‘D+’ in each subject (for the student who has passed the SLCE from NEB till 2078 BS) or a minimum grade ‘D’ in each subject (for the student who has passed the SLCE from NEB in 2079 BS) with a minimum CGPA of 1.6 in aggregate in a 4.0-grade point system or pass division from a recognized board. 
  • Applicants are selected from a merit list of entrance examinations conducted by the faculty.
