Postgraduate Admission Requirements – Nepali Students

Eligibility:

• Must hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nepali university.

• Gap between graduation and application is acceptable but must be justified.

CGPA / Percentage Requirements by University

• Far Western University: Minimum 2.5 CGPA | Waiver: 3.0 CGPA

• Kathmandu University: Minimum 55% or 2.3 CGPA | Waiver: 65% or 3.0 CGPA

• Lumbini Buddhist University: Minimum 2.7 CGPA | Waiver: 3.0 CGPA

• Mid-Western University: Minimum 2.5 CGPA | Waiver: 3.0 CGPA

• Pokhara University: Minimum 2.3 CGPA | Waiver: 3.0 CGPA

• Purbanchal University: Minimum 2.5 CGPA | Waiver: 3.0 CGPA

• Tribhuvan University: Minimum 45% | Waiver: 60%

English Language Requirements

• IELTS: 6.0 overall | Minimum 5.5 per band

• PTE Academic: 59 overall | Minimum 59 per section

• Duolingo: 105 overall | Minimum 95 per section (Reading minimum 100)

IELTS Waiver Eligibility:

• Students with a UK-affiliated degree

• Students with MOI (Medium of Instruction) exemption from a Nepalese degree
