Bachelor of Arts(BA) in Music (Vocal and Instruments) is a 4 years course.

Eligibility

Students are required to have completed their Intermediate or equivalent qualifications in any discipline with good marks.

Curricular Structure

Students are required to take Compulsory English in the first and the third years and Compulsory Nepali in the second year. University offers Alternative English in the second year for International students as an alternative to Compulsory Nepali.

Altogether there will be eight papers in the Four years Bachelor course, consisting of two papers in each year. Each paper contains 100 marks which are distributed in practical and theory with a load of 60 and 40 respectively. There are also functional papers targeting nonmajor music students which provide basic knowledge on music to the students. The mark balance for this paper is 40 and 60 in practical and theory respectively. Within 40 marks in theory paper, 10 marks will be evaluated internally and 30 marks will be evaluated in the final examination, whereas in functional paper within 60 marks in theory paper 20 marks will be evaluated internally, and the rest 40 marks will be evaluated in the final examination.
