The Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) is a four-year, eight-semester academic program. With the rapidly growing IT industry, the demand for computer professionals is growing by the day. The growing IT sector has opened up a plethora of prospects for computer graduates. BCA is a popular program among students interested in pursuing a career in IT (Information Technology). Programming in C, Object-Oriented Programming in C++, Networking, Web Technology, Data Structure, Java Programming, Database Management, Software Engineering, and essential programming languages like ‘PHP’, Python are covered within the BCA program. This course gives students who are interested in computers and want to work in the IT industry as software developers a lot of chances.

The course aim to
  • To train students to create solutions in the form of information systems to the problems related to commercial, financial, governmental, or other types of organizations
  • Provide knowledge on various tools, concepts, and techniques of software development.
  • Prepare students for careers in dynamic and continually evolving fields of computer science.
  • Build up sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide a solid foundation for further studies leading to MCA, MIT, MS Computer Science, and MBA.
Eligibility

The candidate must have passed:

  1. +2 or equivalent from any recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks or a minimum D grade in each subject with GPA 2.00 in aggregate.
