At the Bachelor level, students will engage in the creation of a short film, television commercial, music video, and a large-scale outside broadcast, all contributing to the development of a professional showreel and filmography.
Throughout the program, you will refine both your creative expression and technical expertise while mastering key disciplines, including:
Screenwriting
Directing
Cinematography
Motion Graphics
Post-Production
These skills are designed to prepare you for a dynamic career in the film and television industry.
Students will also have the opportunity to collaborate with JMC Academy’s Music Performance and Entertainment Management students on integrated production projects—such as producing music videos—offering valuable cross-disciplinary experience.
In addition, the curriculum explores advanced production management, visual effects, and post-production workflows, providing a comprehensive, industry-relevant education that equips graduates for real-world creative environments.
Minimum Age Requirement:
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.
Academic Entry Requirements:
Completion of Year 12 in the Australian school system;
OR
An equivalent qualification, such as a Senior Secondary Certificate with a pass in General English;
OR
A comparable qualification, such as:
Certificate IV or higher – for Bachelor degree applicants
Certificate III or higher – for Diploma applicants
English Language Proficiency:
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.5, with no individual band below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: Total score of 73, with a minimum writing score of 18
Pearson PTE Academic: Score between 50–57
Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 169
