To succeed as a manager in the creative industries, a solid foundation in the entertainment business is essential. This Diploma provides a comprehensive introduction to the industry, equipping you with the core business knowledge and practical insight required to navigate the challenges of commercialising music, entertainment, and the arts.
Throughout the program, you will enhance your communication skills by learning to develop effective marketing plans, creative briefs, business proposals, advertising copy, and media releases. You will also gain practical experience in key areas such as negotiation, copyright, intellectual property, licensing, and legal frameworks relevant to the entertainment sector.
This qualification is designed to build both the strategic understanding and the practical skills needed to thrive in the dynamic and competitive world of entertainment business management.
Minimum Age
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.
Academic Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following academic criteria:
Successful completion of Year 12 in the Australian school system; OR
An equivalent qualification with a Senior Secondary Certificate and a pass in General English; OR
A comparable qualification, such as:
Certificate IV or higher – for Bachelor degree applicants
Certificate III or higher – for Diploma applicants
English Language Proficiency
International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS Academic: Overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 73 with a minimum of 18 in Writing
Pearson PTE Academic: Overall score between 50–57
Cambridge English (CAE): C1 Advanced with an overall score of 169
