Explore the Foundations of Visual Storytelling
Gain a comprehensive introduction to the core principles of film and television production. The Diploma of Film & Television offers hands-on experience in cinematography, editing, lighting, location sound, sound design, screenwriting, and production management.
Immerse yourself in real-world industry practice by crewing on professional productions, while also developing your own short documentary. You'll explore the language and aesthetics of screen storytelling through a range of creative projects—including green screen exercises, studio-based television programs, and documentary work—building both your technical capabilities and creative confidence from day one.
Minimum Age
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.
Academic Entry Requirements
One of the following qualifications is required:
Completion of Year 12 in the Australian school system; or
An equivalent qualification with a Senior Secondary Certificate and a pass in General English; or
For Bachelor-level programs: Completion of a Certificate IV (or higher)
For Diploma-level programs: Completion of a Certificate III (or higher)
English Language Proficiency
International applicants must meet one of the following minimum English language test scores:
IELTS: Overall band score of 6.5, with no individual band score below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 73, with a minimum writing score of 18
Pearson PTE Academic: Score between 50–57
Cambridge English (C1 Advanced): Overall score of 169
